Rulesets List

List of Rulesets is directly manageable on the LANProtector Manager Main Window. It contains all Rulesets in the currently opened Security Project.

Each row in the Rulesets list represents one Ruleset. Each column represents one Ruleset property:

Active column will show a checkmark if the Ruleset is active; otherwise it will be blank
Action column represents Ruleset Base Rule state - the Rule which is considered as the last one in the Ruleset if no other Rule is matched during checking of a network peer. It can be either Allow All or Deny All
Name column is the name of the Ruleset

By selecting a Ruleset in the Ruleset List, its Adapters and Rules will be displayed in the Associated Network Adapters and Rules lists on the LANProtector Manager Main Window.

Rulesets Management

Rulesets can be manipulated using 4 different methods:

1. Buttons under the Rulesets list:

            Add = create a new Ruleset
            Edit = edit current Ruleset properties
            Remove = delete current Ruleset

2. Rulesets list context menu (mouse right-click menu):

            Add Ruleset = create a new Ruleset
            Edit Ruleset Properties = edit current Ruleset properties
            Remove Ruleset = delete current Ruleset
            Activate = change current Ruleset status to active
            Deactivate = change current Ruleset status to inactive
            Default Ruleset Action = change current Ruleset Base Rule state to Allow All or Deny All

3. Keyboard: 

The following keyboard shortcuts are valid when Rulesets list is focused:

Insert = create a new Ruleset
Enter = edit current Ruleset properties
Delete = delete current Ruleset

4. Mouse:

Double-clicking a Ruleset in the Rulesets list will edit the clicked Ruleset properties.
