AxiomCoders LANProtector |
AxiomCoders LANProtector Server is a Windows Service application
meaning it is designed to work in the Operating System background without any interaction
with the User Interface and it is the “brain of operation”. LANProtector
Server will listen to network traffic on the designated Network Adapters and intervene when necessary
to deny access of any unauthorized computers or devices (network peers) to the
network. It will also keep a log of all the related events occurring on the
host computer and on the networks it is listening to, such as the service
startup and initialization, LANProtector
Manager remote access, configuration changes, network peer granted or
denied access, etc. In order to
access and configure a LANProtector Server, AxiomCoders LANProtector Manager
application must be used either on the same computer or remotely. LANProtector
Server will listen on the port 52983
on all local active network adapters and grant administrative access only to
authorized LANProtector Managers. LANProtector
Server is by default installed and configured to run automatically after each
system startup. It will then load defined Protection Project and activate
itself if it was active on the last system shutdown.
