LANProtector currently has a passive network monitoring feature. It allows listing of all the computers and devices on the network but it may take some time, i.e. from a few minutes to an hour or so.
Passive network monitoring means that the LANProtector Server will not generate any network traffic itself but only listen to the network broadcasts and log all computers and devices that are out there. Sooner or later every connected network peer will generate some traffic and will be logged by the LANProtector. This makes the product stealthy and still able to map out the network and control the access to it.
