Installing and Accessing LANProtector Server

Goal: I want to setup LANProtector Server and access it using client application LANProtector Manager

Step 1: Install LANProtector Server
Step 2: Connect to LANProtector Server

Step 1: Install LANProtector Server on a computer connected to the LAN that needs to be secured.

Run LANProtector2Setup.exe after downloading it from AxiomCoders Website.

First click Next button, then accept EULA and finally click Next button two more times.

Select to install at least Server only or both Server and Manager LANProtector applications.
Click Next button three more times and then the Install button.

If prompted to install WinPcap packet capture library (if it is already found on the system), it is recommended to click OK and install it nevertheless.

Click Next button two times and finally the I Agree button.

Click the Finish button (two times if WinPcap was installed) to complete the installation of LANProtector Server.

 

Step 2: Connect to LANProtector Server using LANProtector Manager

To connect to a LANProtector Server, LANProtector Manager application must be first installed and started. To install LANProtector Manager, see the Step 1, with one difference: make sure to choose to install Manager application on the Select Components installation wizard step:

After starting LANProtector Manager, if the LANProtector Server is located on the same computer, use Server | Connect Local main menu command or keyboard F3.
If the LANProtector Server is located on a remote computer, use Server | Connect main menu command or keyboard F2.

In case of connecting to a remote Server, type in the computer name or address and click OK:

After successfully connecting to the LANProtector Server, LANProtector Manager will display Server computer name and Server active state in the Status bar:
